In a nutshell, students are learning about the life cycle of plants and the process of germination. Students are provided with hands on experiences to view and closely observe flowers and the role of fruit and seeds. Towards the end of the unit, students conduct their own investigations related to plant and conditions for growth.
The photos are of beans that we planted at the beginning of term. In class, students are discussing the conditions needed for growth, as well as why some beans haven't sprouted.
The next set of photos are of students investigating the conditions needed for plant growth. Each group is testing whether either light, water and soil are needed for plants. They are using rocket seeds as part of their investigations. More photos of the rocket shoots to come!
